Copyright Act India – Two Booked
Two persons have been booked under the Copyright Act for allegedly selling duplicate CDs. A complaint was filed by Vikas Bijalan who runs Vikas Info Solutions Pvt Limited in New Delhi. The accused D N Tripathi and Brijesh Mishra worked for this firm and reside at Abhinav Flats, Thaltej.
They were given responsibilty of selling original CDs of a law-related book ‘Crime Supreme Today’.
Vikas Info Solution Private Limited converts books into digital format. Priced at Rs 11,000 each, the licenced ‘Crime Supreme Today’ contains all judgements of the Supreme Court and high courts.
“However, the accused got the CDs copied and sold them for Rs 1,100 each,” said said Sola police inspector N B Nagori. Tripathi and Mishra are absconding.
